Yad Ezra V’Shulamit – Helping the needy Israelis fight poverty

Yad Ezra V’Shulamit is an organization which addresses the immediate needs of the needy and poor families, irrespective of their ethnicity, religion, location and age. The organization was found in the year 1998 and since they started delivering food baskets. In the same year, they started off by delivering baskets to 50 local families. They have been expanded throughout the nation and they also have holiday and weekly food distributions of thousands of baskets, centers of children who feed more than 500 children everyday thereby helping more than 8000 teens.

Yad Ezra V’Shulamit understands that poverty isn’t something that exists in a vacuum and hence over the year their services have expanded beyond just delivering food baskets. They also empower the teens at risk, offer vocational guidance and training and enrich the experience of underprivileged children. At present, nearly 100,000 individuals depend on this organisation to break through the shackles of poverty.
